Day By Day Itinerary
DAY 01: COCHIN - MUNNAR ( 150 KM/ 04 HRS)
Upon arrival in Cochin, transfer to Munnar and check-in for an overnight stay at the hotel. Munnar, located at an elevation of 1800 meters, boasts South India's highest peak, Anamudi (2695 meters). En route to Munnar, visit Vaplara and Cheeyappara waterfalls, as well as tea plantations. Upon reaching Munnar, proceed to your hotel and complete the check-in formalities. In the afternoon, visit Rajamala (Eravikulam National Park, open as per forest authorities' instructions), famous for sightings of the Nilgiri Tahr, a native mountain goat species of South India. Explore the Tea Museum, which offers insights into the traditional tea production methods amidst the lush tea gardens. Conclude the day with a short tour of Munnar town before returning to your hotel for an overnight stay.
DAY 02 : MUNNAR
Following breakfast, begin a sightseeing excursion of Munnar. Discover key attractions like Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, Kundala Dam, Pothenmedu View Point, and Blossom Park. Take pleasure in shopping and stay overnight in Munnar.
DAY 03 : MUNNAR- THEKKADY
After breakfast at the resort, depart and drive to Thekkady, renowned globally as Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. Upon arrival, check-in at the hotel. Later in the afternoon, embark on a wildlife cruise on Periyar Lake, offering sightings of elephants, monkeys, deer, and wild boar. Optionally, you can enjoy an elephant ride within Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. The remainder of the day is at leisure for your own activities.
DAY 04: THEKKADY- ALLEPPEY
After breakfast, begin your local sightseeing tour. Alappuzha boasts a rich maritime history and is celebrated today for its boat races, backwater cruises, scenic beaches, marine products, and thriving coir industry. The Alappuzha Beach, a popular picnic destination, includes a historic pier that is over 137 years old. Nearby, visitors can enjoy entertainment at the Vijaya Beach Park and explore the fascinating old lighthouse. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel.
DAY 05:ALLEPPEY - KOVALAM
After enjoying breakfast aboard the houseboat, check out and proceed to Kovalam. Kovalam is a perennially pleasant beach resort known for its dreamlike appeal to tourists worldwide. Framed by a high rocky promontory and a tranquil bay with azure waters, this beach paradise casts a unique tableau especially under moonlit skies. DAY 06:KOVALAM -POOVAR KOVALAM
After breakfast, set off for local sightseeing. Framed by lush palm groves, the crescent-shaped beaches of Kovalam are globally renowned tourist destinations. Apart from the three main beaches—Lighthouse Beach, Eve's (Hawah) Beach, and Ashok Beach—there are numerous picturesque beaches stretching along the southern coast of Kovalam from Vizhinjam to Poovar. DAY 07: KOVALAM - COCHIN DEPARTURE
After enjoying breakfast on the houseboat, check out from the resort and proceed to Trivandrum/Cochin Airport/Railway Station for your journey back home, cherishing happy memories.
